Handmade Christmas Favours

I am joining in on Knicky Knacks Handmade Christmas Challenge. Please pop on over and check it out.

The kids and I have been making a few xmas favours to give to their friends. We covered some cheap match boxes with pretty paper and placed a piece of paper in the back of the little tray and glued in a little treasure. Like the little snowman above. We attached a card and a candy cane and tied with a little ribbon. A cheap and easy gift and fun to make too.

The kids have their own little tree in their room this year and it is covered in the little decorations they have made. We made some paper butterflies cut from old map pages, with their bodies made from pipe cleaners. A 'V' shaped pipe cleaner is glues underneath to attach to the tree. They have also made a few paper chains at school.

Below are a few of our handmade xmas decorating ideas.

I made this stocking for Ind last year from a fragment of vintage patchwork quilt and bits and bobs.

Star fashioned from a wooden folding rule and strung with vintage mini tinsel and glass baubles.

Bottle cap wreath. For a better look at my wreath, click here.

Cookie cutters held with mini bull-clips on jute string.

Make sure you check out Knicky Knacks for some fantastic handmade Christmas inspirations.
