September Makers Market

It was a great day at the Mini Makers Market hosted by Little Finch, and a few new pieces have found loving homes. It was nice to get some feedback on the new pieces. I also recognise that I now need to add a little price sticker to each piece to prevent confusion when I leave my little helpers in charge.

The Next Braidwood Maker's Market is only a month away and I am sharing my table with Little Miss who will be selling her original artwork, posters, cards and bookmarks - as well as her jewellery pieces that she made earlier.

She is going from strength to strength in her art, so I hope she does well. Here is a little collage of a few pieces she has been working on. As you can see her artwork is influenced by the Powerpuff Girls and Adventure Time and she has a new series of cute fox designs.

Its a glorious day today. Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and next week I promise to be back with some more interesting treasured finds xx

Where the Wild Thing Grow

I've been trying to keep my stamp jewellery and blog separate, but I wanted to show you the new pieces I have been working on. Only genuine stamps are used.

I will be testing out the waters with my new designs and product ranges next weekend (Saturday 17th) at the mini market hosted by Little Finch, who are celebrating their 2nd birthday.

If you are local, I'd love to see you there :) If you can't make the mini market, we will be at the Braidwood Markets Market on September 14th and December 14th.

They call me Willy...Wagtail that is.

Blue Fairy Wren.

Bird pendants, rabbit and fox brooches.

Foxy Loxy...looking a little worn out.

Wooden bird pendants.
The weekend is fast approaching. Enjoy :) Tam x

Gone Fishing

With the Braidwood Makers Market only a week away, I wanted to give you a sneak peek of some new pieces that I will be selling.

Tonight we are heading out to see Box Wars, part of the Enlighten festival. It should be heaps of fun! Canberra is celebrating its Centenary this year and have a few things planned throughout the year. We are going to the Glorious Days, 1913 Australia exhibition at the Australian National Museum tomorrow, I can't wait. Hopefully I can get a few photos.

Have a wonderful weekend, we have a long weekend as it is Canberra Day on Monday (poor kids still have school as we live in NSW :) but the Mr and I have the day off work..yippee!! If you are heading to the Braidwood Makers Markets next weekend, I may see you there!

Bye for now, thanks for visiting, Tam x

A Day Trip to Goulburn NSW

One of our favourite places to fossick and poke around is the The Old Woodshed reclamation yard in Gouburn, NSW. With the thought of many treasures to be found, we took a day trip yesterday to find old wares and forgotten gems.

I have added a sneak peek of the treasures that we are now lucky enough to call our own. I will post these and a few more beauties in the following days.

Hope this post has found you all well and you have enjoyed a long and relaxing weekend, Tootles  T x

Stamp Jewellery: Bracelets

I have sourced some interesting jewellery bases and unique stamps to expand my Stamp Jewellery line. The bracelets above, in bronze and silver, will be heading with me to the Makers Market in Braidwood on the 25th August. See flyer on the sidebar :)

With Fathers Day just around the corner here in Australia (September 2nd), I have a selection of Stamp cufflinks, Steampunk cufflinks and Tie pins also.

The new range now includes earrings too, which I will show you before the day. I am keeping my prices low; all necklaces, earrings, and bracelets are priced at $25, and the Steampunk pieces a little higher.

My jewellery can be purchased through Little Finch, Wallace Street, Braidwood and online at my Etsy store (sorry there are only a few pieces here, but I am happy to take orders for something special or if you see something through my posts).

Hope to see you on the 25th! Bye for now, Tam x

I Have Some Exciting News!

India spent our profits on face painting :)
Thank you all for your wonderful support for my stamp jewellery. We had a great day the markets yesterday, although it was a quite day I did get a lot of positive feedback on my designs. I even had two 12 years old boys comment that my pieces were really unusual and that they really liked them, love 'em. I made a few sales and have taken a few custom orders as well. One Australian stamp necklace is on its way to New York! If there is a particular design you are after let me know and I may be able to make something for you too.

I also met with the lovely Sarah from Little Finch, a gorgeous boutique of handmade and homemade items sourced locally. They also run workshops, including felting, sewing, quilting etc on-site as well. The great news is that A Treasured Past jewellery will now be available for sale through the boutique!

I would like to thank Sarah and Jennifer for giving me the opportunity to showcase my designs.

You can find Little Finch at 78 Wallace Street, Braidwood, open 7 days. They have a facebook page and dedicated website where you can also purchase their items online. Click on the hyperlinks for more details.

I hope you enjoy a restful Sunday and that the coming week is a lovely one. I must mention that India is turning 8 on Thursday so I will be busy with the final planning for her party next weekend. I was inspired by Simmones 60 gorgeous birthday cakes in this post, but I have taken the easy way out and order the puppy cake from Breadtop as India just loves it. Take care, T x

Off to Market

Weather permitting, I am holding a stall at the next Braidwood markets, Saturday 28th April. Its an outdoor market, the day is looking chilly but no rain, fingers crossed. As mentioned in my earlier post, I have become obsessed with making stamp jewellery.

I have chosen to use only pre-decimal and vintage Japanese stamps. They are secured with a special glaze under a glass tile, and placed either inside a pendant blank or glazed and added to a bail. I am waiting on some more chains which hopefully will arrive during the week, and I will be right to go. I am also taking along my cards and other jewellery pieces. Click for a closer look.

Rings
Australian pre-decimal stamps on brass pendant with matching ball chains
Colourful ribbon necklaces
Mix of Japanese and Australian stamps in silver pendants...waiting for chains
Fitting for Anzac Day
Long glass tiles with silver plated bails...how cute is this Japanese stamp??
The small blue one on the end is a stamp from India. Of course India is keeping this one and blue is her favourite colour too.
This one is a keeper. I collect Kookaburra paraphernalia :)
I am hoping that they do well. They will be price at $20.00 per necklace and $10.00 per ring.  I have purchased so many stamps to make more, but will see how these go first.

Enjoy your week, Tam x

To Market To Market....Jiggity Jig

We had our first stall in a long time yesterday at the Braidwood Markets. The weather gods were on our side and we had a sunny spot to set up, although Mr T said his toes had frost bite. We had lots of lookie loos and a few good sales, so not bad for a winter market. Click to view bigger images.

I also came home with 3 vintage eiderdowns..hehehe

Hope you enjoy a relaxing Sunday, T x
