Summer Holidays

This is where we will be spending the next 2 weeks; the local pool. The weather has been very warm since Christmas (so hot that my eyelids were sweating) but the cooler change today was very welcome.

In the three hours I spent today I only read 3 pages. Too busy making sure the kids aren't drowning. The grass is quite spongy and with the padding of the eiderdown it is quite a pleasant spot to sit. The Mr gave me is 24 hour bug today so no swimming for me.

When we arrived home I was pleasantly greeted with a gift from the lovely Cate all the way from England.

Isn't the wrapping pretty. I wonder what is inside???

A Union Jack Christmas decoration, the best present ever!! Thank you Cate I love it. It is going straight to the pool room. Just joking, it will be hanging with my union jack bunting and displayed all year round.

Thank you for the birthday wishes for Kade. He was really chuffed and said that he was impressed that he had so many fans...haha. This picture was taken at the Bovington Tank Museum in the UK. On the drive there we saw massive tanks training in the forest, it was really cool. We were really excited to see tank crossing signs in Wiltshire earlier on in the week, although we didn't see a tank, so were super excited when we passed one going to the museum, it was one of the highlights of our trip.

I have been flicking through our trip photos today so will do another England post soon. In the next post I will show you what the lovely Kylie gifted us which is a great addition to our religious memorabilia.

Thanks for visiting, talk soon, Tam x

It is good to hear you and your husband still share everything :).

The weather is nothing like as hot as you are experiencing, but after exceedingly strong winds yesterday, it is remaining strangely mild. (I didn't need a coat Christmas day when picking holly from the woodland track).

Oh, how I long to feel hot again. It's cold, wet, windy and miserable here tonight!
The tank museum is my little man's favourite place. Whenever his grandparents offer to take him out for the day, it's his first choice. He's been there 4 times now and is showing no signs of getting fed up with it yet! M x

Happy New Year Tam. It has been hot, I think that we just aren't used to it with all the wet cool weather that we have had. Have fun at the pool.

I have been away from blogging for a couple of weeks, heaps to catch up on.

I did manage to get some bargains for vintage look decorations. A friend and I went to Leura one day and we picked up some bargains, of all places, Bed Bath & Table. They had some lovely vintage look pieces and a lot of them. I am glad I got them for half price as they were quite expensive for full price. And yes I forgot to take a photo of them...oh well gives me a blog for this christmas. Stay cool. Karen xx

We spent the day at the pool yesterday (I didn't swim either), I love this time of year. Loved seeing The Castle clip, great movie. That Chrissy decoration is brilliant!
