Collections: Chenille Santas

Vintage chenille Santas have to be one of my favourite all time collectables, as you can see I have a few :) I have been collecting them over the last few years. Last year I found an original goose feather tree at our trash and treasure market and decorated it with the little guys. This year we are being a little low key with the decorations, so I placed the vase that I store my Santas in on the mantle instead.

Well, I survived my first day back at work today, after 6 weeks, I didn't miss the place one bit. My wrist was quite sore so I am taking it easy. OMG, the place is soul destroying, so quiet and gloomy and even though it is nearly Christmas my work mates spirits are low. They have not even organised a xmas party this year, what the??? Tomorrow I think I might pull out our tinsel at work and make it a little more cheery :)

O.k., I'm going to bed now to watch Four Christmases (starring Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon) before I have another day in struggle-work :)

Hi Tamara....!

It sounds like your wrist needs a warm oil massage....I think that would help the ache for sure....!!

YES....Get to it with the tinsel QUICK SMART....It sounds like your poor colleagues have been sprinkled with BARHUMBUG dust....You MUST lift their spirits....This in turn will take your mind off your wrist.... :o) !!

OH MY FREAKIN HEAVENS....I almost choked on my tongue when I saw your CHRISTMAS decorations....You could have taken those pics at MY HOUSE....As a matter of fact when I sign off here I'm gonna check my STASH to see they're still here safe & sound & I haven't been visited by a marauding 'treasuredpast' Chrissy decoartion gremlin....hahahahahahahaSNORT....Seriously though I A-D-O-R-E chenille Santas....I will have to post pics of mine as soon as I've finished decorating....!

Well Lovey I MUST FLY....!

Tamarah :o)

Hi Tamara,I love your vintage Santas,I have never seen any like these. I would love a goose feather Christmas tree too but they are so expensive and hard to find.

Hi Tamara
Your chenille Santa's are gorgeous. I too want a goose feather tree and found an absolute beauty on Ebay but they didn't post to the Uk...I was gutted. Finding one is my mission this year. It is sad that everyone at your work sounds so miserable, you will have to try and get them in a festive mood.

Your Santas look so cute in the vase, they look like they're all crowded on a life boat singing '100 bottles of beer on the wall'.

Hope your work place has livened up a bit with the help of your tinsel.
