Collections: Reamers and Juicers

I love my little juicer (or reamer) collection. Most were made pre 1940, Japan. My favourite being the little cupie faced juicer above. I was lucky enough to find this one on a day trip to Crookwell, NSW.

This little guy I picked up at the Goulburn swap meet, the year before last.

Although functional, this collection is purely decorative, and are displayed in my kitchen. I do have a vintage glass juicer which I use to juice lemons when needed.

Hope you have a great week, the weekend here was horrid, our fence blew down and Tinkie escaped from the backyard, luckily he only went next door! (Thoughts to those in Victoria and Christchurch NZ, who have had to endure terrible weather and an earthquake!)

I'm off to Perth on Wednesday so no posts for a few days....see ya, Tamara

Oh wow,the picture of your juicer with the face on it just jumped out at me . I love it and have a few similar items myself. I have two 1930s tea cups and an egg cup with faces on. Your juicer was an amazing find. I also have a Goebel duck juicer and a 'Mr Lemon' juicer from the 1930s. Thanks for sharing your lovely collection.

Wow! Your juicer collection is delightful. I have never seen anything like them. I inherited my grandmother's depression glass lemon juicer, it is a plain clear glass one. I love it so much I have bought all my children one as well. Good luck on your op shop hunting here in Perth. Kim :)

@cumquats Hi Kim, thanks for stopping by. I am glad that I have shared them, its nice for others to see instead of being hidden away in my kitchen.

I'm back already from my trip to Perth, only has 1/2 hour to check out the opies...found a great eiderdown at Good Sammys on Murray Street, just up from Miss Mauds Hotel but could not bring it home :(

Nice to meet you, Tamara x

Hello Tamara

I saw your swan juicer base, and thought I should help.
I often buy bases and tops seperately and as such, you might like to see the top of your swan. It is listed as part of my collection on
I have also seen it, in Perth, with a lis (hence a teapot)
You will find many, if not all, of your juicers listed on my site.
