Junking Makeover: Cane Parlour Chair

I thought I would show you a quick makeover I did on my parlour chair. I found it at our local shop for $65. It was covered with yucky tan vinyl but was old and in great shape. Under the white paint is the original tortoiseshell cane, a little has been stripped off, but I left the rest as is.

I removed the original trim around the heart and reused it to finish the new back. I used a plain white doiley underneath and the bell shaped crinoline lady on top. As a quick fix, I simply placed a cushion cover over the seat.

It is currently in our granny flat, you can see the green painted concrete floor underneath the chair (inspired by Sandy @ Paint Me White). I will show you the granny flat makeover soon.

Have a good one, Tamara

p.s. don't forget to enter my giveaway...entries close 31st August Aussie time :)
