Collections: Clowns

Morning guys, thanks for popping by! I hope the weather is treating you well. It is drizzling here this morning (still winter).. I am sure it will worsen when I walk the kids to school at 9:oo am. Why does it always seem to rain at school drop-off and pick-up time? It beats me :)

Well I hope you have enjoyed my earlier collections..but wait there is more..much more.
I am amazed that we have nearly 30 different collections!

Mr
T has some collections too, other than Playstation 3 games ha ha:) he collects clowns, watering cans, pennant flags, religious icons and vintage star wars.

What type of things do you collect? Have your collections happened by chance, do you seek them out or do your friends and family know what you collect and give you more?

Hi Tamara it's a bit like a junk shop over here :)
I have lots of eggcups + kitchen ware of all types, lace, glass in fact if it's old and doesen't move and I like it, it comes home, rather like yourself :)
D has shaving mugs, Festival of Britain stuff, old books and about a million comics I kid you not, he has been collecting since childhood and has recently been doing research work for Marvel.
We have warmish weather at the moment and as long as the sun shines I'm happy

Cate, Thanks for sharing, I thought that I only had 3 collections until I really looked around...we sound so much alike :) Research for Marvel, that sound awesome. Tamara

Hiya Tamara!! Firstly let me say those clowns are spppoooookkkyyy!! My eldest is now 19 and still has an irrational fear of clowns hehehe!! As far as collections go omg where do I start...beautiful old fabric covered boxes..pretty old tins...antique rhinestone brooches and buckles...oh and clocks...I LOVE old clocks...I have rhinestone ones..and old enamel musical ones...gosh..I could go on and on...I dont have HEAPS of each collection but over the years have managed to hone each little collection to the pieces I REALLY love. I love your crinoline girls..I have a few myself. I think anyone who loves vintage has the collector gene.

Hi Sam, Thanks for the insight into your collections too. I did buy the best chippy plaster crinoline bookends from you a few years back, those I would never part with, best of luck with the prep, Tamara x
