Its been ages since I last posted, actually it has been a nice break. Did you all have a lovely Easter?? The kids are on school holidays so we have been playing tourist, scooting around town and watching a few movies. Its been lovely. I have also been making so many necklaces for the upcoming April markets, so I will show you my latest addiction soon.
On April 1st, we took a flying trip to the Goulburn Swap meet before heading to Canberra for a party. We only had a few hours, so it was a hot whip around. This morning I also ventured to the YMCA sale in Yarralumla, which was nice because the kids wanted to stay home so I had an hour or two of 'me' time.
Here are my latest finds:
|
The owl in the right dome was purchased this morning...I have a thing for owls. |
|
I smashed the Swansea plate but all the pieces are there so I should be able to glue it together...my damn hand, its still not back to normal. |
|
Bag handles |
|
Trophy and a glass horseshoe candle stick |
|
Babushka doll odds and ends |
|
Religious Script Prints from the Swap |
|
Footed transferware cake stand and bits and bobs for jewellery |
|
Bird tin (Swap) and bird print from the tip shop |
|
Small hand mirrors and Edwardian Cards |
|
Inside the tin...I googled to see what was playing at the Town Hall in 1957 but came up short |
|
Do you like my one legged ferret..hehe |
|
The kids and I found the Steiff Mecki and Micki at the op-shop yesterday...maybe headed to ebay?? |
I do have a few other things to show, I bought some vintage clothes at the swap which are handmade and ever so small, even India has a hard time doing them up. I'll save them for another day. Back soon, I promise! Enjoy your weekend, T x

Great to see you back dear Tam and see your latest finds! xo
My fav would be the glass candlestick. Sorry, not sure about the ferrett, kind of freaks me out a bit. Lol
Hai fatto vedere tante belle cosine!Amo i quadretti!Baci e buon fine settimana,rosetta
Where to start Tam?
All so lovely and kept getting better as I scrolled down.
I love the old nesting dollies (I've never seen vintage ones before), the trophy, the "Bambi" light, and those amazing religious scripts. Do you think you will hang them? I've got a couple and I think they're a bit full on...

Some great finds Tam. Love the one legged ferret and the Edwardian cards.
Have a lovely weekend.
Jo xx
you find some amazing stuff!!I want an owl in a dome!!!
I am so in love with the owl you found, it's so cute!
I'm also so in love with the cake stand and the bits and bobs you found!! Your Mecki dolls made me smile. My uncle was nicknamed Mecki because he looked like him. My German uncle was a very special man!
Hugs all around!!! Someday I hope to visit your beautiful country!!
Chris :o)
Hey Tam....yes it has been ages since you posted!! I am not much better though ha. Your ferret reminds me of my squirrel fur. Sounds like you have been busy on the hunt. Lots of great bits and bobs....did Mr find any new clowns? Have you been watching HOBH....getting down to the wire now....Have a fun day xxx Katherine
You always find the best treasures Tam....specially love the owl under the cloche and the horseshoe candlestick, and the steiff toys what a find...and the little jewellery box in behind them is a dream.
I'm loving the glass dome collection and that deer light it's so perfectly kitsch. xx
What a gorgeous lot, love your nightlight too.The ferret is kinda creepy, looks great displayed though.Ferret always makes me think of Kindergarten Cop,said in Arnie's accent of course.
That owl looks suspiciously like one I had as a child. I bought it because it had light sensitive paint on it and would change accordingly. Does this one change in the sun?
Oh Tamara what a WONDERFUL bunch of finds you LUCKY BUGGER....!!
I LOVED the religious prints, trophy & I've NEVER seen that particular bird tin before....GORGEOUS....!!
Cheers,
Tamarah :o)
