What an Amazing Door!

Hi Guys...yes I am still alive...it seems a lifetime ago that I last posted...well at least a week...hope you are all well.

Well, we have been busy, busy, busy with work and organising our holiday. Only 19 days left now! In the mail last week we also received a gorgeous wedding invitation from a dear friend who is getting married in New Zealand next Summer...another trip to plan :)

The Mr is staying in town tonight to help his olds (parents) fix up their garden before we leave so the kids and I ate dinner out. We walked past this cool old door on the way down to the shops. It's an old power station door. Wouldn't it make the most fantastic table top!!?? Unfortunately it is not for sale (yes I did ask) as it will become a feature in a new business that is opening up.

Thank goodness it is Friday! Movie and popcorn are on for the kids and Sassy spoke of a new junkers reality show (Picker Sisters) so I am off to check them out...enjoy your weekend!

That door is fantastic. Isn't it funny how us 'junkers' love these battered old things and will happily and cheekily go and ask if said item is for sale. Some of my friends would be horrified if they knew where some of my treasures, clothes and even everyday items come from! M x

Hi Tam, l'd almost finished my comment but enlarged the door pic to read what the warning sign says and lost it....bummer!! Not too surprising that it says high voltage l guess, since it's a power station door. It's very cool and don't ask - don't get, l always say. Nineteen days... blimey it's almost time to pack. Have a great rest of your weekend.

Hello Tam, gosh, by now it must only be about 16 days to go which means only about 2 weeks wahoo!! you must be getting excited. Thanks so much for your lovely comment(s), really appreciate them. I spy that you have an Imac in that writing desk. You must be thrilled with your make-over..feel better? Goodness we used to have chairs a bit like that when I was dental nursing but they were a little less chunky (yours looks like a marvelous veritable throne) as they were for kids/ I used to love them because even back then they were vintagey..often oak with the leather seats. I wonder where they all are now? In people's living rooms I expect ; ) Much love Catherine xoxo
