Firstly a bit of housekeeping......I don't know where the time goes. By the time I get home from work, have dinner, get the kids in bed around 8:30pm, I am too tired to write any posts, or comment for that matter. I do, however, read all your posts even if I do not comment at that time, but I always try to catch up later, sorry to those I have missed.
Did I mention that we have a granny flat (and four sheds)? Most of my treasures end up in there. I have a work area set up for craft and pretty things, and my selling items are all sorted in another room. I do have lots of collections in the house but not everything otherwise it would look like an episode of
Hoarders!
Found this week:

Le Rosarium, Made in France |
 |
Small children's hutch, maybe 40's - 50's |
 |
Vintage Circus/Clown jigsaw for the Misters collection |

A closeup of the English countryside jigsaw. Why do they always write or place a sticker on the pictures? |
 |
This feather filled eiderdown is VERY dirty. Have you washed a feather eiderdown before? I am going to give it a go. |

I have plans for these, stay tuned! |

Thank you Kylie for the lovely parcel waiting on our doorstep this week. |
So close to the weekend, and its a free one for use, so off to the movies we go. We are going to see Ghost Rider, The Spirit of Vengence, can't wait! Hope you enjoy yours, Tam x
p.s I have turned the word verification off as they are getting ridiculously long and annoying! Although it may come back if I get too much spam.
Tam, I am in love with that little hutch, what a treasure!
ReplyDeleteI am really glad you got rid of the verification thingo, what a pain in the bum! I haven't had one for ages and I'm yet to receive any spam. Hope this is the same for you x
I love that hutch and the Le Rosarium! Yay for no more verfication I've had one or two spam in almost a year. xxxx
ReplyDeleteWashing eiderdowns is possible in the washing machine...obviously checking that there are no holes or rips before you start. Select a 40 degree wash cycle with detergent but don't use a fabric softener, the feathers don't like it!
ReplyDeleteDrying is the pain. I usually put the clumped up eiderdown on the washing line initially, pulling the feathers apart in their pockets of fabric. Then transfer into the heat of the house for a good few days enabling the feathers to dry out. You can then finish in a tumble dryer for a final fluff.
Hope that helps,
Julie x

ReplyDeleteI am intrigued to know what your plans are for the small toys. Thank you for turning off word verification. They are becoming very odd in nature.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a good weekend
