Collections: Buttons and a Surpise Find

For my birthday last year my mother gifted me a vintage chocolate box filled with vintage buttons. As I have two sickies home today, my otherwise plans have been put aside, I thought I would play with my buttons while they watched Star Wars. By the way, they don't seem too sick now, and I bet they will be fully recovered in time to catch a movie on the weekend!

Glass and jet? buttons

Pearly whites

Pretty colours

Crystal glass and diamontes

A mixed mob of vintage loveliness

I found this in there today! I had missed it in my earlier rummagings

It sits nicely with my other vintage pins I bought on etsy (Birdnestsandpaper)

Happy Friday!!!!!

  7. As soon as I saw the circular blue dorcas pin box it took me back to when my mother was a seamstress. She had a box just like this.

There is something wonderfully tactile about rummaging fingers through piles of buttons.
